Thanks, I was confused by the fact that Juha Karhunen wrote a book about "independent component analysis", which seems related to the other Karhunen's method. Sorry about the confusion. -- Jochen

The X-ray image of Mira

[edit]

...that you added to the star's article about a year ago was deleted for some reason...? --Illythr 08:00, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No idea about this :-( I tried to look up the reason in Commons:Deletion_requests, but it seems not to be listed there and neither in the archive of old deletion requests. Strange. Does anybody know how to learn who deleted it and why? --12:58, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

Found this: [1] --Illythr 23:05, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The image comes from this site. Here is their policy on image use. -Illythr 23:09, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, it seems that I was not careful enough when uploading this. Sorry. At least somebody spotted the problem before this made the NASA shut down wikipedia. --Jochen 21:37, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, I've seen plenty of NASA images around, though... --Illythr 17:53, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello J.Voss! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 8 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Charles Davis (flute player) - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 07:25, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Charles Davis (flute player). We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Charles Davis (flute player). Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:05, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
